So this is Christmas...

Everyone says life changes when you have a baby and that is true. Holidays are so much more fun! Without further ado, here are our Christmas events.

You know it is almost Christmas when you see a sleigh about town.

We headed to Oak Creek on December 23rd to kick off the Christmas gatherings. First up, the Dunham Family Christmas Extravaganza! The party started with a visit by a group of carolers. My aunt, her sister and uncle led their grandchildren on a Christmas caroling tour. It was so precious!

Owen decided to show off his new skill of kissing. First one for Gram.

Next up a kiss for Granny.

I love Owen's face in this picture with Gram and Auntie T. He's a funny boy!

Here is Granny with most of her great-grandchildren. I love how Colton walked into the party and stripped into his diaper within 2 minutes.

Owen with his second cousins, Jordyn & Abby. These girls wanted to hold Owen all night.

On Christmas Eve, we celebrated with Adam & Terese before heading to Jimmy's sister's house for a very LaCassa Christmas. Our Christmas Eve family photo.

Presents with Uncle Adam and Auntie T.

He was amazing with presents. He unwrapped them all himself and was mildly distracted with the paper, bowes and boxes.

Christmas Day was a very relaxing day at my mom's house. We spent the day in our pajamas and had a wonderful meal with my mom and Jimmy. Owen woke up excited for gifts from Santa!

This child loves presents.

The day after Christmas, Owen turned 7 months old. He is now over 20 pounds. He is seriously so much fun.

In honor of turning 7 months old, Owen decided to pull himself up on his new activity cube. Rusty was responsible and held the cube in place so Owen would not hurt himself. I had to grab the camera.

By the time Wednesday rolled around, Owen was exhausted. Luckily Auntie T came over and needed a nap before work.

Owen is clearly a genius and here is the photo to prove it. He may have been reading aloud to us here. We used to read to Owen before bed, but discovered that books were very exciting. When given the choice, Owen chooses a book over a toy. Let's hope this continues throughout his life!

It's Beginning to Look...

My holiday spirit is quiet this year. I have been attempting to rev it up by drowning myself in peppermint mochas. I think it is finally working!
We finally put up our tree.

Here is Owen's first trip to see Santa. He was very calm, but a little confused why we were on the other side of the room talking to him.

I also got a new camera from my mom as a early Christmas/birthday gift. I really needed one. To celebrate I decorated Owen!

How can I not be into the holidays with this munchkin around? He is such a sweet and happy baby!

I blinked and it was December!

Dear December~
Where did you come from? I swear I blinked for a second and you were here. It could be the fact that we have only been home for 2-3 days at a time or that I am having so much fun with a chunky 6 month old. Although I was shocked to see you, I am glad you are here now!

This month Owen has discovered a new favorite toy, the yoga ball. He giggles so hard when Rusty rolls him around on it.

We moved bathtime to the tub. He LOVES to splash and is playing with toys and reading books. I think he would stay in there all night if we let him!

A happy little baby who is using his cuteness to avoid bedtime.

He has really been working on crawling. He gets a little closer every few days. He scoots around in circles and inches along the floor. One day soon I am sure he will be cruising around. Rusty thinks it is going to happen on Christmas Day. I'm hoping he waits for another month. Here he is on all fours!

A Very Utah Thanksgiving

We headed to Utah for Thanksgiving. We always enjoy our time with the Utah peeps and Rick our Oregon peep! Owen is such an awesome traveler. This trip included his 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th flights. He is seriously a champ on airplanes.

Checking in at the Madison airport.

We had a 3-hour layover in Minneapolis. Owen was happy as long as he had a blanket full of toys and a drool cape.

Grandma Jeri really wanted a picture with all 7 grandkids. This was the best one I have.

Owen cannot get enough of his cousins. Hanging with D-money!

A very intense staring contest with Max. Two seconds later Owen clawed Max's eye. Luckily, Max was great about it.

Hank even indulged me by having a sweet picture taken together!

We spent a little time with the Miners. Here is sweet Sierra and Owen. Apparently, he really likes when kids come down to his level.

Our family picture on Thanksgiving!

My little turkey in his after dinner outfit.

Owen turned 6 months old while we were in Utah. I cannot believe it! After we returned to Madison (and Rusty went on a quick work trip to Minnesota), we took him for his check-up. He weighed 19 pounds 11 ounces and was 27 and 3/4 inches. He is a BIG kid!

November Happenings

How did November slip through my fingers? Maybe because the weather has been so unseasonable. Maybe because we have done a lot of traveling (as usual for our family). Maybe because my days and nights are full with my little boy.

Owen cut his first two teeth in early November. It took me weeks to capture them with a camera. Most of the photos looked like this.

I tried to take a picture upside down. Rusty helped. I love my boys!

Finally a shot of the chompers!

We said goodbye to the MamaRoo in November. Every time I put Owen in there, he would sit up. Probably not safe.

He also started eating his feet, which is adorable.

He loves to stand. Here he is standing on the couch at my mom's house. Don't worry my mom is actually behind him in case he were to fall!

We headed to Macy's to check out the holiday windows. Owen was so into them!

Macy's also had Santaland in full operation. We decided to beat the crowds. Owen and his grandma checking things out. There is a picture with Santa to come soon!

Since I cannot resist a cute and/or funny picture of Owen, here are a few highlights from November! He is considering a career as a Sumo wrestler.

Sometimes we hang out at home in a velour har, flannel blanket and pacifier.

This beauty is care of Rusty. Toy strapped to wrist? Check. Giraffe head from bouncy seat? Check. No pants? Check. Drool bib? Check. Cuteness overload? Double check!

Up next is our trip to Utah for Thanksgiving!
