Originally, I was going to combine this post with another, but then I deemed this post worthy of an individual blog. It was the first full day I spent away from Owen. Rusty played stay-at-home-dad and loved it.
Lindsay and I deemed Tuesday, January 17th as a holiday, RoRo Day. Lindsay was offered tickets for a taping of The Rosie Show. The guest was NeNe Leaks from Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Here we are waiting to get into the show.
Rosie O. She was really pretty in person and really funny off-camera.
After the show with my free swag. A velour blanket and a lunch bag filled with goodies.
Thanks for the tickets Lindsay!

January Park Days
I have already written this post once. Thanks for deleting it Blogger! Take two...
We had some unseasonable weather last week, which led to a couple of days in the 50s. In addition to stroller walks, we decided to take Owen to the park. He kept begging us. He is persistent.
Day 1: Swings are fun! He was laughing so hard on the swing. I think it is funny, since he never liked a swing as a newborn.
The next day turned out to be even nicer. The park was packed.
Owen had to test out the chair swing. It looks a little like a slide in photos. He once again spent the entire time there laughing the day away.
I am trying to make more of an effort to be in photos with Owen, since I am usually taking them.
I suspect this will be the first of many family photos at various parks.
It was hard to believe the next day yielded a couple of inches of snow. Just in time for Jeri's arrival for her birthday weekend. Here we are at dinner for her birthday.
Before she left we tested out the tripod for a group photo.
Thanks for visiting!

To a Happy and Healthy 2012
While I wished for a happy and healthy 2012, it did not start that way. Owen had a low grade fever for a few days accompanied by his first cold. We woke up at 6:00 AM on January 1st to a coughing fit that ended in vomit. Luckily after a few days, Owen was back to his happy and healthy self. Here is the photo to prove it.
I love how this picture captures the pure, sweet innocence that is Owen.
While I would like to think sweet and innocent is all that describes Owen, there is a hint of mischievous in him. Here he is trying to pull himself out of his car seat.
He goes from sitting to a crawling position, but doesn't crawl. Yet.
Although he isn't crawling, he is definitely mobile. There is a lot of rolling, scooting, and backwards crawling. Babyproofing is in order.
He also feels the need to pull himself up when the opportunity presents itself!
His favorite time of the day is still bath time. Since this picture was taken, we have ditched the baby bathtub. Owen loves to be on his back and kick and splash. It is hilarious.
I think I have captured the brown fleck that interrupts Owen's endless blue eyes. When looking at him, it is on his left eye, towards his nose.
